Although both South Shore Ski Areas (heavenly and Sierra) will be closed by tomorrow. There is still Alpine, Squaw, and Mammoth. The winter season will make way for the inbetween time when the winter crowds are gone and the summer crowds arrive. Snow is rapidly dissappearing from lake level. Hiking and biking will be all right at lake level but the upper elevations still have plenty of snow(so bring snow shoes or rent them). The sun is shining and precipitation of some form is expected later. The Tahoe  basin is changing over from winter to summer season. Certian activities like hiking and mt biking will be dependant on the amount of snow on the ground. The snow is rapidly disappearing from lake level. The seasons are changing here in Tahoe. Skiing is coming to a close and summer activities are starting. Tentitive closing dates for Lake Tahoe Ski Resorts. Heavenly is closing Sun May 1st.
